The Daytime Men's section at Leaside offers curling on Monday and Friday mornings.
Monday mornings, 9:10 a.m. - individual entry - tag draw
Friday mornings, 9:10 a.m. - individual entry - tag draw
Both tag draws (no pressure to participate every curling day) are open to individual entry for men.
Generally, curlers participate on both Mondays and Fridays and accumulate points towards the play-offs in April. However, the most important aspect of this section is the camaraderie; our curlers have a great ability to enjoy each other's company on and off of the ice. The easiest way to enjoy winter -- a little exercise and lots of companionship.
No curling experience? That's OK -- we will show you. This is the best deal in town!
Wednesdays, 9:10 a.m. - individual entry
The Daytime Men Skins division is a bit more competitive than the Daytime Men tag draws. New teams are created several times during the season and points are accumulated by individual curlers. You should be prepared to participate regularly.
The Evening Men's Section is, arguably, one of the more competitive men's leagues in Toronto without sacrificing recreational enjoyment and friendship. The Section operates two 32-team leagues, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, each with games alternating between 7 and 9 pm. Leagues are divided into four flights of eight. After each of three, seven-game round robins, teams may move up or down a flight based upon won-lost records. This enables teams to find their appropriate skill level so that games remain both competitive and fun. Inter-league playoffs lead to the club championship.
Section registration is by team entry. Subject to available openings, new members are welcome to join, either by creating their own teams, finding a spot on an existing team (we have an online "find a team / find a player" bulletin board), or by registering individually and being assigned to a team.
