Members of any regular evening/weekend or daytime league pay an annual membership fee, as well as a "league playing fee" for every league for which they register.  Most sections charge a prize fund.  As well, the daytime sections collect an annual coffee fee at the time of registration.

There are 3 sections at Leaside Curling Club that schedule fewer games over the course of the season:

  • Super 7 Saturday Starter Series (7 games played between September and December)
  • Open Doubles Series (11 games scheduled between September and January)
  • Pizza League (14 games scheduled from October to March)

In additional to regular leagues, Leaside Curling Club offers the following special classes of membership:

  • spare only (allows unlimited sparing in any league in which you are eligible to pay)
  • practice only (allows you to book practice ice as per club guidelines; you are not permitted to play in any regular league games)
  • youth or adult competitive (allows you to represent Leaside at a provincial-level playdown; you are not permitted practice ice or to play in regular season games)
  • social member

Additional charges apply for lockers / broom locker rental.

For a full list of the fees, click here.

A full refund will be provided if you make a written request to withdraw prior to the end of October. After October 31st and up to January 31, a prorated refund of section fees and HST only (which excludes membership fees of $71.19 and prize fund fees) is available (at the Board’s discretion) if the member is unable to participate due to medical reasons or relocation. Please submit a written request to the office. A $50 administration fee will be deducted from the amount being refunded.

Named after one of our founding members, this award was initiated as a tribute to members during our 25th anniversary year. It is given annually to a club member who exemplifies the aims and objectives of the Leaside Curling Club. A member is only eligible to receive the award once.

Aims and Objectives
• To foster, promote and engage in the game of curling.
• To foster friendly relations amongst members of the club.
• To preserve the traditions of the game of curling.
• To cooperate with other clubs in the interest of fellowship and curling.
• To encourage participation by all members in all the club activities.
• To maintain membership in curling associations

All adult members in good standing, with the exception of Social, Competitive, and Spare-only members, are eligible to submit nominations in writing (including your own name) to the club office, addressed to the Secretary of the Executive (Board of Directors).
